Welcome to Dad's Academy

Dad's Academy is your school away from school. Don't groan and roll your eyes. You will find that we cover all kinds of subjects. The goal is to make you use your noodle. Most classes take between 5 and 15 minutes (if your not distracted by your friend's texts).
Once you complete a lesson in Dad's Academy you qualify to enjoy some free time (with your phone, iTouch, Wii or good old fashioned brain numbing TV).

Day 4: The Known Universe

The world is a big place... or is it?  Sometimes we think we are so important; we think we know so much.  It is essential to have perspective, to see things as they REALLY are not just as we perceive them.

1.  From watching the video, write two statements (or questions) about things we DON'T know.

    This is Jack. I think there are other human forms in other universes because there is a lot we have not discovered yet. I think in my lifetime there will be more changes and that scientists will discover more because they will have more technology.

    This is Lincoln: I liked how it taught me about the universe and the Milky Way. I don't think there are other people on different planets, except the man on the moon (That's a little joke.) But that is something we don't really know.

    This is Logan. Is there any possible way that humans could ever travel outside of our galaxy and into one of the close by ones? Why are we able to chart some galaxies but not others? I think it is very likely that somewhere in the universe there is other life forms besides the ones on Earth. Otherwise it would be a "big waste of space".

    I think that there is way more galaxies and other life forms to be discovered. There could be people and different kind of animals on the other planets in the other galaxies
